California Paid Sick Leave Law: It's Here! [Infographic]

california-paid-sick-leave-law-its-hereOn September 10, 2014, California became only the second state in the nation to provide paid sick leave to employees. That was when Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed AB 1522, the Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014 into law. Certain requirements, such as posting and notice obligations, took effect January 1.

However, the effective date for employers to begin providing the California paid sick leave benefit was July 1, 2015. The implications are wide-ranging, immediate and. with very few exceptions, the mandate applies to all private and public employers, regardless of size.

What's Required to Comply With the Paid Sick Leave Law?
